Prosthesis supply conditions are stated in the Annex 3C2 and Annex 3C5 lists of the Social Security Institution’s Health Implementation Communiqué. What is the Warranty Period and Lifespan of Above-Knee Prosthetic Leg Prosthesis?

Warranty periods vary depending on the product brand applied. Average warranty periods;

• 6 months for silicone liner

• 2-5 years for knee joints

• 2-3 years for carbon or polyurethane foot

• 2 years for modular parts.

The social security institution covers a new prosthesis every 5 years or if your prosthesis’s warranty period has expired and it cannot be used.
